Come and see us at the Crick Boat Show this Bank Holiday

Assist Insurance Services will be at the Crick Boat Show again this year. The show is open to the public over the spring Bank Holiday weekend at the Crick Marina.

There are lots of things to do this year, whether you’re a seasoned boat owner a part-time sailor or you just want to dip your toe in the water! There are free boat trips, fascinating seminars and colourful historic boats to see as well as a raft of activities for your children to enjoy.

If you do make it to the show, be sure to look out for our stand (ww 78-79). We have staff available all weekend to help you with your insurance queries.

Plus, if you’re looking for a way to keep your keys safe on the water, ask us for one of our popular floating key fobs! We’ve also got a goodie bags to give away as well. (Free whilst stocks last.)

‘We’re hoping for great weather this weekend,’ says Steve Leech, Director, Assist Insurance, ‘but whatever happens the Crick Boat show is always a vibrant place to be with lots to see and do. We are delighted to be supporting the show again this year and we hope to see you there.’

Barge falls off trailer onto A9 near Inverness

A canal barge came off a trailer and partially blocked a carriageway of the A9 in the Highlands for several hours.

The incident happened just before 14:30 at Daviot near Inverness.

No-one is thought to have been injured in the incident, but it had caused traffic to slow down in and around where the accident happened.

Traffic Scotland said the barge has been removed and the road was being swept clean of debris.
